Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

  1. Serious question. Always wondered if the Game Improvement clubs hide your swing flaws and eventually ruin your game because you don’t learn through failure?

  2. I am 22 handicapper , should I for 350 or 200 ? Playing golf for last two yrs . Weekend player !

  3. The mess about part has no value. Hitting the 9 and 5 instead of just 7 is great. Comparing to what you did with the t200 is very helpful. Too bad those were not a more substantive part of the review.

  4. Just got fitted today and these were by far the best clubs for me. And trust Rick when he says they’re forgiving! I’m around a 20 handicap and I hit 6 shots consecutively with the 350 7 iron and each one carried 190-195 and ended up being close to 215 total. Can’t wait for the custom irons to get here!

  5. Don’t know who or what to blame, but you missed an awful lot of shots that you were trying to hit well. I know you’re miss hitting shots on purpose to test the Forgue of the clubs, but starting with the nine ions that you hit, you didn’t hit many very well when you were trying to hit them well. What to blame

  6. Hey Rick. You are a happy owner of a GCQuad. Why don‘t you mark the club faces for the full club face data, while testing them? So everybody would be able to see how forgiving are these irons really are…
    Best wishes from Hamburg

  7. Hi Rick, I know this video is a year old and you might not see this, but I have a genuine question. Not necessarily these or any other particular clubs, but I’ve seen you hit game improvement irons extremely well with great results. My question is this: with more and more quality players moving away from blades and more towards something more forgiving, what prevents you from playing these or other game improvement clubs? Lack of shape creating or?

  8. Maybe a little bit to strong lofted for a lot of golfers .. personally 150-160 carry for 7 iron suits me better..

  9. Question for those of you who have T350 what graphite senior flex shafts do they offer? Seems like all the videos I watch they are using steel

  10. Would be great to see a comparison to the Mizuno JPX 923 Hot Metal. I think those iron look a lot alike.

  11. After saying they’ve been guilty of making horrendous looking clubs, it’s hurt on a new level when the my taylormade burner superlaunch popped up 1st 😂😂 I’ll let you know if they’re forgiving tho…. Once I hit the golf ball 👍🏻😂

  12. Rick, for amateur golfers – even with low handicap (4-7 hc) – wouldn’t we be better off with irons like these instead of trying to work shots with less forgiving irons?

  13. I’m not really put off by chunky golf clubs but I just can’t stand looking down at a really long club face. They look like a hockey stick to me. Thick top line is okay and a little offset is okay but a long face very uncomfortable for me.

  14. I just fit into 200s. I hit the 350 in a 4 iron and it felt like slapping a tub of hot butter. SUPER forgiving

  15. The plastic badge at the back of the club face falls off after a few months. A real shame as the performance of these clubs is very good ☹️

  16. Trying to hit clubs bad isn’t helpful. Get a mid-handicapper to hit them and then we’ll see how forgiving they are.

  17. What would you recommend?
As the best club starting clubs for someone who’s never played also quite tall 6:3

  18. We needed higher handicaps testing these Rick and poor ball strikers like me – you have a massive audience – get them involved would be great to see and more relevant

  19. How about you try and hit the clubs in the middle before you try and get fancy

Odds are you will get all the bad shots you need just swinging normal

  20. This is on my short ( very short list ) to get fitted next January. Callaway Big Bertha B21 or Titleist T-350 irons 5,6,7, and maybe a T-200 for 8,9,PW, Gap W. about the same specs. Will have to look at the data from testing.

  21. Have tried these twice at demo nights. Impressed. Now top of my list to try at a fitting. Tried the srixon zx4/5 but no contest compared to these 🧐👍

  22. Thanks for the review. One interesting thing about Titleist is that as early as the late 60s’ they were one of the few manufactures that made their pro clubs-like the FG17s in lefty.

  23. I hate when people testing clubs blame the club for Misses, the club has nothing to do with it. It’s the operator.

  24. Dear Rick, being your Finnish fan, I would like to see your review Takomo Irons. There is no good review of those irons and would like to see you review them.

  25. The "average golfer" isn’t spending $1200-1800 on a set of irons, sorry brand names like Titleist aren’t giving reasonable prices to the average golfer.

  26. Replaced my T200 with T350 can confirm much easier to hit much more forgiving. Also went to a lighter shaft aero tech steel fiber. Love the clubs thanks for the review.

  27. Would like to see these compared with the T400 I know the T400 are very forgiving and very strong lofted. I play them and love them 7 iron is 26 degree so 7 – gap wedge then hybrids and woods perfect set up for higher handicap 🙂

  28. Rick always has great reviews. But like with all of the pros on YouTube showcasing clubs, I really can’t get a true understanding of how the club performs for a high handicapper. These guys hitting 7 irons up to and over 200 yards is just discouraging. Gives me a false sense of performance. Not that I believe I can hit an iron anywhere close to that distance. Just saying it would be better to see high handicappers hitting these extra forgiveness clubs.

  29. Got fitted for 5 to gap wedge. After delivery, I’ve had two heads lose their back plates! Now, in discussion with retailer and titleist….product as delivered not fit for purpose, design or quality control issue?

  30. I got fitted on the T350 and ordered them in October last year. But to be honest, I’m so disappointed. In-between the hole set is replaced once, because that plastic plate on the back felt out on three different irons. Now I have got the new ones for about 5 weeks and it’s just the same again. So annoying to spend so much money and then something like that happens TWO TIMES!!!
