Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

  1. You can take all these results with a pinch of salt, Rick tested the ping the the TM and the tour exotic a monthe ago with completely different accuracy results!!

  2. Love to see the Wilson dynapower against these as Wilson has come on bucket loads in last couple of years

  3. Rick, nice video again. Totally agree with you that the Tour Edge driver is a great product for the price. Unfortunally you did not factor in availlability. In Europe the Tour Edge E725 driver is not available through any European (web)shop as of yet, so you have to order the driver through the website of Tour Edge. I was shocked at the total price, and it pictures a whole other story. Base price of the driver €391,95, shipping €98,95, Duties €18,20, Taxes €107,12. The grand total I would have to pay for this driver would than come to €617,22!
So as long as Tour Edge has no physical selling points or webshops in Europe where you can buy this product, in my opinion anyone based in Europe with logical sense will not buy this driver at the moment.

  4. How is price and looks relevant when ranking drivers? I buy a new driver every 5-10 years, I’m not going to buy a Kirkland just to save some money when I’m going to hit thousands of shots with it. And looks are irrelevant – they don’t affect performance at all. And I don’t particularly like the GT anyway.

  5. This is an awful review. Certainly seems “purchased” looks and price shouldn’t be included. Distance, FH, dispersion, and maybe sound/feel. Pxg, Wilson, srixon should have been included. How much is Kirkland paying you? Be honest with your reviews or you’re going to lose subscribers man.

  6. Hey Rick,
Founding follower, I would like to know why I haven’t seen you review PXG equipment. I enjoy your platform and trust your reviews. Throw a bone PXG’s way and give them a try.
    Keep up the great work.

  7. I had a mizuno STZ230 for about a month. It was an absolute straight ball machine, but considerably shorter than my TSR3. Not 10-15 yards, but 20+ consistently

  8. It’s interesting because I completely disagree with the placements. I think the Cobra is the best driver as someone who tried all of them, except the Kirkland, for about a week. It just goes to show how subjective this actually is and that you should always try clubs and find which fits the best for you

  9. It’d be cool if you could livestream the testing just in case people wanted to see what all goes into that

  10. Hi guys everyone seems to be saying that the tour edge e725 driver is very good in many different ways, my question is where can I buy one in the UK and where can I test one?
    Regards
    Steve. Wirral

  11. Kirkland driver and wedges are fabulous, I use them both. The v3 balls however…..15 yards shorter than most others, fly too low and feel dead. Hopefully the next release is better.

  12. Just put the E725 in the bag. Going from the Cobra RAD Speed to the E725 is night and day. So far, love this driver.

  13. I have a question. As a senior ( 68 ) golfer I find the lighter the driver the better. Do you ever show the weights of drivers ? Andrew John Bannister in Dubai.

  14. What a great watch, and really informative.
I personally can’t get my head around the looks. They all look great to me. So the performance and price helps me in what I may be looking for in the not too distant future

  15. Dumbest ranking system I’ve ever seen. 4th place only hits 30% of fairways and not overly long. Two of the three worst according to you hit 70-80% of fairways 😂 classic Rick.

  16. Hard to take the results seriously when you used different shafts. Maybe the purpose was to show “off the shelf” options, but that skews the results. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so looks shouldn’t be a category because, as you stated it’s subjective.

  17. A lesson in parity here. All good, no standouts. Manufacturers sure have reached the limits of what the tech. can provide. Pick your poison! Great video Rick, as always!!

  18. Would rather see a performance ranking, followed by price variance. Looks shouldn’t be included at all.

  19. Price having any influence on score is just giving away free points. I’m huge on giving Kirkland their props for an affordable set but come on, they didn’t pay a dime for the R&D that was used to develop their line. Leave price out of it.

  20. Would have liked to see PXG driver in this video to see how that stacks up! don’t know why Rick can’t ever review pxg’s but would love to see them in the mix. Either way very good video and interesting results. Makes you want to just try out the tour edge on the course.

  21. Enjoying your best of year series. Good way to sharpen up the shopping list as prices are sure to tank as the new models come online

  22. removing looks, the rank is as follows

    tour edge 19 pts
    kirkland 17 pts
    mizuno 16 pts
    aismoke 15 pts
    darkspeed 14 pts
    QI10 14 pts
    GT2 13 pts
    ping 11 pts

  23. It’s funny because, you say the best looking club in this lineup is the "best looking", I’d not only say it’s not even close, but I’d go as far as saying, it’s the worst looking drivers and fairway woods Titleist had ever made in my opinion! Talk about boring.

  24. My youngest son on his college team averaged 298 and hit 82% of his fairways through 4 years of college golf. He used Callaway or Taylor Made throughout his college.

  25. the Qi10 max was always marketed as the shortest of the 3 TM drivers. You should have swapped the max with the standard Qi10 in this review.
